Dementia

The staff at Andover Village Retirement Community/Miller Health Care Center is trained to meet the special care needs of residents with dementia. Our individualized Plan of Care specifically addresses the changing abilities and challenges of persons dealing with memory loss and diminishing cognitive function.

Our team of caring professionals support the residents on an ongoing basis with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and physical care. In addition, they engage residents in meaningful activities that provide opportunities for socialization, appropriate mental and cognitive stimulation and the ability to function at the highest level of independence.

Along with our entire team, the social service staff is there to offer resources, support and a listening ear to families and residents facing the everyday challenges of memory loss.
